The SW FAB has to be considered as one of the strategic FABs due to its geographical situation, being one of the most important interconnection nodes for the American transatlantic flights and the European northern-southern corridor.
In order to ensure the implementation of FABs as per Article 9a(1) of regulation (EC) No 550/2004, Member States shall cooperate to the fullest extent possible with each other, in particular Member States establishing neighboring FABs.
